The junior high class at an event for homeless and nearly-homeless veterans where they were able to show honor and respect to those who served so selflessly for us. A few students held the flags for each military branch and veterans stood and were recognized. Many field trips for secondary grades revolve around service projects for those in our community.
The kindergarten class planting pumpkin seeds at their teacher's home. They will come back as first graders to harvest those pumpkins and study the parts of a pumpkin and growing process in their class at school. The elementary field trips focus on helping expand the children's knowledge and understanding through furthered exploration and learning. Getting out of the classroom to learn and observe is valued and important.
